Background Information
Tommy debuted in the New England area in 1989 as Bobby Ocean and feuded with Curly Moe. He later changed his name to T.D. Madison and joined with G.Q. Madison as The Madison Brothers in International World Class Championship Wrestling; they won the IWCCW Tag Team Titles twice.

In 1993, he joined Eastern Championship Wrestling as Tommy Dreamer and remained part of the company (later re-named Extreme Championship Wrestling) until it closed in 2001. His first ECW incarnation was hated by the fans – he was considered a pretty boy and wore suspenders with his wrestling gear. Their attitude toward him wouldn't change until he entered into a feud with the Sandman and, later, with Raven.

During the eight years he was with ECW, Tommy suffered multiple injuries, including a ruptured testicle (thanks to Jerry Lawler) and a broken back. Through it all he continued to go back to work and put on the best possible show he could. His other duties expanded to including booking (writing storylines), promoting and selling t-shirts at the events. He remained the perpetual underdog, losing more often than not in order to put over others and help the company. He also became known for using many various and unique items as weapons, including plastic Godzilla toys and fans' prosthetic legs.

Once the company folded, Tommy got a job with the then-WWF, ushering in the Alliance era with former ECW and WCW wrestlers. He was later given a gimmick based on his real-life habit of eating, almost literally, anything. On-camera, fans saw him brush his dog Chandler's teeth with his tooth brush before sticking it in his own mouth, drink urinal water, shave his tongue, eat his own hair and perhaps most disturbingly, drink the Undertaker's used chaw. After winning the Hardcore title an impressive 14 times, Tommy settled into a desk job at Titan Towers, scouting for new talent.

When Rob Van Dam's idea to have an ECW-only pay-per-view was put into action, Tommy and Paul Heyman booked the entire show. In the main event, Tommy and the Sandman once again teamed up and took on the Dudley Boys; the match ended up featuring other various ECW stars as well—including The Blue World Order, Kid Kash, The Impact Players, Francine and Beulah. Tommy was put through a flaming table earning the Dudleys a win, and when ECW was brought back as a separate brand, he gave up his office position to resume a full-time wrestling schedule.

Tommy was a part of the Originals faction in the new ECW who fought against the New Breed, consisting of Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, Kevin Thorn and Ariel. He's feuded with Daivari and the Great Khali, and writes a column for WWE.com entitled Diary of Violence. Tommy married his former valet Trisa "Beulah" Hayes in New York on October 12, 2002; their children, twins Kimberly and Brianna, guest starred on The Sopranos as Tony's neice.

You can now catch Tommy most Tuesdays on the Sci-Fi channel.
