to herald in the day,
and to announce its exit.
I thrive by clockwork and precision.
In my unending quest for perfection
all things will be restored to
their rightful place.
I am the exacting taskmaster,
the ever-watchful administrator.
I seek perfect order in my world.
I represent unfailing dedication.
I AM THE ROOSTER.
Trisa is an Earth Rooster.
Roosters rule the two hour segment between 5 and 7 p.m. People born during those times are said to have the Rooster as their ascendant. Their assigned direction on the compass is west, its season is autumn and its month is September. It's a yin/female sign and is a fixed Metal. It corresponds with the Western sign of Virgo, which rules from August 24th to September 23rd.
Roosters are considered the Don Quixote of the Chinese cycle. They rely on the earth to survive and are perhaps the most misunderstood and eccentric of all the signs. They may appear to be self-assured and aggressive but they can actually be conservative and old-fashioned. They're attractive and proud of it.
There are two distinct types of Roosters — rapid-fire talkative ones and silent, solemn observers. Both are equally hard to deal with. They are neat, meticulous, organized, decisive, alert and direct. They can be brutally critical and will give completely honest, candid opinions. They enjoy debating but may have little regard for the feelings of others. They are not diplomatic — they'll use all their energy to convert everyone to their way of thinking.
At their most negative, Roosters can be egotistical, opinionated and abrasive. They'll think they're 100% right no matter what, which is a false bravado as Roosters are not sure of themselves and are susceptible to flattery or delusions of grandeur.
Roosters shine when in the spotlight and are adroit at expressing themselves in both speech and writing. All Roosters are perfectionists in one way or another. They combine a sharp eye for detail and flights of fancy; sometimes their ideas work better on paper. However, they are usually sincere in their efforts and desires to help others and mean well in their endeavors. They may suffer from disapointment if their dreams are too farfetched or overambitious. They can be unreasonable over simple things but practical about difficult matters. They're also good at handling money and are fascinated with accounting.
Hens [female Roosters] are more adaptable than Roosters and play well with others. She'll have no problems being just one of the group if it gets her where she wants to go. Just as capable and productive as her male counterpart, the Hen performs less offensively and is careful, dutiful and less obtrusive. She could excel in proofreading and compiling statistics and is likely to be a thorough and patient teacher, watchful and protective mother and solicitous wife or nurse.
A Hen will forgive you anything, after a long discussion/lecture and gets her feelings out in the open. Afterwards, she won't hold any grudges and is not vindictive by nature. She's a simple dresser who prefers simple, classic, easy-to-wear outfits approriate for numerous occasions. She may have a vast array of accessories. Roosters will never fail to make an impression on you — you will either love them or hate them. They pair nicely with Snakes, Oxen and Dragons. Second best choices are Tigers, Sheep, Monkeys and Boars but should avoid Rats, Rabbits and other Roosters at all costs. Dogs are hit-and-miss.
